Vienna: Imperial Splendour and Modern Masters

17 – 20 March 2018

Vienna, the former capital of the immense Hapsburg Empire straddling east and west, has an astonishingly diverse cultural heritage. The buildings of the city centre showcase Baroque architecture at its finest whilst its musical heritage is unparalleled in the west. The Kunsthistorisches Museum houses some of the world’s finest Old Masters whilst the Secessionists can be found at the Belvedere Palace. Evidence of Jugendstil (local Art Nouveau architecture) is still visible in former metro stations. With its key galleries, Vienna provides a huge array of sites and museums as well as a vibrant atmosphere and many excellent restaurants.
